News – ORM Releases New Single ‘Slør’
Slør’ is the title of the Danish black metal band ORM’s new single, which stands out due to its relatively short 7-minute length compared to the band’s otherwise iconically long compositions. With this track, ORM ventures forcefully into another corner of their progressive approach to black metal, unfolding an auditory narrative over fewer intense minutes. Lyrically, the track expresses gratitude for unconditional care with a primitive offering in an unpolished and heartfelt manner. “Slør” is also the first studio recording featuring the band’s new permanent bassist, Malthe Yde Tiufkær.
The release of “Slør” also marks the 5th anniversary of the release of the album ‘Ir’, which stands as a milestone and a new classic in Danish metal. The band debuted with their self-titled album in 2017, but it was with ‘Ir’ in 2019 that ORM truly cemented their name on both the Danish and international black metal scenes, earning a loyal following. In 2022, ORM released the monumental double album ‘Intet • Altet’, setting new standards for the band’s epic and progressive approach to black metal. Throughout their career, the band has toured to packed venues across Scandinavia and recently achieved a triumphant performance at this year’s Copenhell festival. “Slør” is available digitally, and also on cassette in a limited edition of 150 copies, which exclusively includes a live version of the ‘Intet • Altet’ track ‘‘Fra Dyden’ recorded at the band’s 2024 Copenhell concert. “Slør” is available digitally HERE, and the cassette version can be ordered HERE.
